We study and conduct research in mesoscale & regional climate modeling. The specialties are in numerical weather prediction of the atmosphere that utilizes remote sensing data (radar, satellite, etc.) for modeling severe mesoscale weather and data assimilation methods.

본 연구실은 수치예보모델을 이용하여 중규모 현상에서부터 지역기후까지 분석과 예측을 위한 다양한 연구를 통하여 한국형 일기예측 모델을 개발하기 위한 목적으로 설립되었습니다.

레이더 및 인공위성 자료의 수치예보 입력을 위한 자료동화, 폭염과 위험기상의 연구/예측 등 기상청과 직접적으로 연계되는 다양한 활동을 연구실에서 수행하고 있습니다.

About Us

The research team in this laboratory is led by Professor Ki-Hong Min and consists of researchers and students pursueing degrees in Ph.D. and M.S.. To date, the laboratory has produced more than 20 graduates with bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
